Disney Restaurant Review Character Expereice, Daisy, Disney, Disney World, Donald, Mickey, Minnie, Topolino's Terrace-Flavors of the Riviera

Topolino’s Terrace- Flavors of the Riviera

Topolino’s! Can you tell I’m a big fan? Topolino’s Terrace-Flavors of the Riviera is a relatively new Disney Character Dining Experience. The restaurant opened in December of 2019. Topolino’s was open only a few months before it temporarily closed due to the pandemic. However, it was the first modified Character Dining Experience to reopen. Because they are one of the few breakfast Character Dining Experiences open, a reservation could be hard to snag. However, with a little luck and a 5 am alarm, we were able to make a breakfast reservation for our trip in October.

The signature table-service restaurant is located rooftop of Disney’s Riviera Resort. The resort itself is absolutely beautiful. It reflects elements of European classic art with Disney touches throughout. The restaurant shows elegance and the atmosphere is fantastic.

Once you arrive to Disney’s Riviera you can use the Mobile check in. When we reached the restaurant we were immediately seated. At Topolino’s guests will scan the QR code located on each table. Once scanned you will gain access to the menu. There are paper menus available per request. If you have a food allergy make sure you alert your waitress. They will give you an allergy friendly menu. You can also request to talk to the Chef about your allergies. Disney is FANTASTIC dealing with food allergies. I am always amazed by their exemplary customer service.

The Character Dining Experiences at Disney are pricey. I have attached the modified Topolino’s menu below. The menu has been scaled back since reopening.

When we were seated our waitress brought us a basket of pastries and bread. HEAVEN! My children loved the chocolate chip muffins while my husband and I enjoyed the croissants. Our waitress also brought us all Disney’s famous POG juice. It is a combination of Passion fruit, Orange, and Guava juice. It’s truly the taste of a vacation! My husband and I also ordered coffee. The drinks are included in the price. Actually, you can order as many different drinks as you would like!

The waitress then gave us several minutes to eat a few pastries, drink our drinks, and watch characters before we ordered our main meal. The Cast Members really want you to enjoy your time at Topolino’s. I didn’t feel rushed at all. I ordered the Sour Cream Waffles which were exceptional! They were so delicious. My husband ordered the Quiche Gruyere. He stated it was fine, but not for the price. My children loved the Mickey Waffle Dipper’s. They came with three dipping sauces and a nice portion of bacon and eggs. The waitress took great care of us. Once my children ate their waffles she brought our more. She took very good care of us and made sure we left stuffed!

The modified character experience at Topolino’s is amazing. Truly! It was way more than I expected. All the characters (Mickey, Minnie, Daisy, and Donald) are dressed so cute! Their costumes are to signify their favorite artistic passion. Daisy is a ballerina, Donald is a sculptor, Minnie’s dress print is covered in favorite poems, and Mickey is a painter. Adorable! The characters are introduced individually and make two laps around the seating area. They will pose for a socially distanced photo and selfie. They continue to interact with you from afar. They were all so sweet.

Nobody was having fun! 🙂

Final thoughts! I think it’s a great experience if it is in your budget. It is on the pricier side. In my opinion, the experience was significantly better than Chef Mickey’s. We had exceptional service and you can’t beat the Riviera atmosphere. I hope you have the opportunity to enjoy this cute Disney Experience.
